William & Mary vs Northeastern

So I’m thinking of transferring from Mount Holyoke to either College of William and Mary or Northeastern. I’m still waiting to hear back from another college, but William and Mary wants me to decide by the 15th and I have no idea what I should do…thoughts or suggestions?
I’m planning in double majoring in either biochem/bio and English!

Have you visited both? The environment could play a big factor. I was so upset with my current school last year that I was going to transfer to William and Mary but after visiting the school I realized I wouldn’t be happy there either, even though it’s a way better school. I paid the $100 deposit and everything and decided last minute in June that I wasn’t going to go. But my point is if you haven’t already, visit at least one of them and see how it feels.

@fncrane Thanks! I’ve kind of seen Northeastern since I’ve been to Boston many times and my current college is in Western Mass, but I think I should visit William and Mary then…
Can I ask where you decided to go?

I currently attend Northeastern so if you have any specific questions I’d be happy to answer.

@helix96 How are the professors? And what do you major in? Also social life? My current school is pretty bad on the social life and I always have to go to UMASS or Amherst for parties and to meet new ppl

I decided to stay at my current school, one of the UC’s.

I’m a rising sophomore in the new Bioengineering program. On the whole I have liked my professors. There have been a few that I’ve found too arrogant but I think any school’s STEM 101 staff is bound to have a few bad professors. Most of my professors are very willing to help out after class if you don’t understand something and there are a ton of extra help resources. Northeastern isn’t a huge party school, most socializing happens within smaller groups. I’m not a big socializer so it works for me. I know a lot of people go to Harvard for parties.
