Here is an article with the ED results:

College admits 249 out of record-breaking 1,068 applicants to Class of 2028 through early decision – The Williams Record

More news from Williams, the article below notes that one of the dorms, Fitch, which is a larger dorm, is being reserved for freshmen, Class of 2028, overflow if the class is larger than usual. Seems to suggest they are planning for the class to to be overenrolled as was the case 2 years ago.

With the link:

Fitch, Lambert to be out of 2024-2025 housing lottery; Thompson, Hubbell to return – The Williams Record

I can’t find a Class of 2028 RD thread. Hi everyone! We were asked for a very specific FA form, any clue if that is a sign re acceptance?

It’s a sign that they need an FA form from you. That’s it.

I believe the financial aid process operates independently from the admissions review.

Since there hasnt been any confirmation for Friday does that mean decisions are not coming out this week?

I read that they announce here when they have a date for when they come out. Admission & Financial Aid

My guess is 3/21, but I don’t know beyond a guess!

They usually post the release date on the admissions website about a week ahead of the actual date.

Do they usually announce on same day as Swarthmore? I don’t see that they’ve set a date either.

Amherst is releasing decisions “on or about” March 20th so Williams should release decisions around then too.

Called admissions — confirmed it is not tomorrow :frowning:

Thanks for this update! I’ve been searching everywhere for an answer.

Sure!

Also called Amherst they said between 19 and 21st. Probably same with Williams, Swarthmore, etc.

Oof, I saw somewhere Amherst would be 3/15. Guess not.

Looks like next Friday—3/22!

Makes sense they are taking more time with the FAFSA situation and students not needing to decide until May 15.

Yes, they have a thoughtful admissions department. In 2020, they pushed the decision date to June 1 bc of COVID.

Agreed, they seem to make every effort to be fair based upon the extenuating circumstances and the NYT article on the FAFSA situation clearly shows that would be warranted in this case.
