Williams College Class of 2028 Official Thread

It was FIL’s car, so I didn’t feel like I could say no! I’m not sure my FIL realized what he was getting into, either, honestly.

The first thing I noticed on campus was the diversity. It was important to my son so I took note of all the groups hanging out on campus lots of diversity, groups of students would stop and chat with other groups. It seemed friendly, there were groups of students everywhere on the quad and down Spring Street. Some students were out on their own studying on a blanket. You can’t miss the bells tolling, but pay attention as the bell tollers have free range. When we were there they were playing a Beatles medley.

There are buses to Albany, NYC, and Boston for most breaks, and a weekly shuttle into North Adams for grocery shopping.

Also, have tried Uber reserve from the Albany Rensellear Train station to Williamstown and it worked is you reserve two weeks ahead. There are several trains a day from Penn Station to Albany.

Maybe if someone got in ED shares a link that only admitted students have access to (like registration for admitted students day or enrollment form), we can check if we have access to that page.

The portal is pretty bare bones, the link isn’t there anymore, it just says that you are registered.

I don’t think there is much of anything in anyone’s portal, except a few items, for students who were accepted ED to fill out. It does say that Williams Previews are on April 14 and 15 and that there will be a virtual option on April 18.
I suspect the portals will all be loaded with info tomorrow when acceptances come out for RD.

[updated link below]

what is that exactly

registration for visit of admitted students.

It says “ARTS 241 Introduction to Oil Painting” and “Access denied”

same

I don’t see how “ARTS 241 Introduction to Oil Painting” is an event for admitted students. Is it a course sample or something like that?

Thanks for the link. Btw, putting portal astrology aside, it is very impressive how many options they offer for the previews.

Agree, the previews program is very comprehensive, you can attend a range of classes and meet professors in your proposed major, there are activities for parents and families as well.
