Williston used to offer crew as a sport with a faculty coach, and now apparently it’s a faculty sponsored activity through NCR. Again, someone unwilling to sound like a complainer didn’t ask the why this year on campus and asked me instead, and I don’t know. My guess is money. Suffield added crew and rows out of Holyoke, but the school did put a training facility on campus, so it seems they’re all-in. It’s likely Williston was not able or willing to do the same, but I don’t know for sure. Does anyone know for certain?
It’s often hard to get good inside info about these smaller schools unless you are part of the community…
