Willows Preparatory School (WA) feedback

I am researching private schools in WA, wondering if anyone is enrolled in WPS. The school is not as fancy as Overlake and Eastside, and I couldn’t yet find any information about their college acceptance. However, they offer IB, which sounds like an attractive idea.

Honestly, if you’re in the Eastside (specifically Bellevue) and want IB, go to Interlake. They place extremely well into top colleges and are obviously free as a public school.

If you’re looking into privates with good name recognition, Lakeside is the way to go.

My advice is to stick with schools that are members of PSIS (puget sound independent schools) and Willows Prep is not a member. Visit and research - all the PSIS member schools have a bit different feel and curriculum and similar college acceptances once you take out hooked students. IB is available at several public and will depend on your address and potentially CoGat scores.

My son was accepted to Willows Prep Middle School a couple of years ago. So far, our experience with the school has been very good. The school listens to feedback, and their academic program is quite challenging.
