<p>What is the difference between the Political Science (ED) and (L&S)? I know ED is Education (School of) and L&S is Letters and Science (School of), but I want to make sure I choose the right thing. I am looking into their political science because I’ve seen that they were ranked #11 for undergrad poli-sci, but I am not sure in the details of the two programs.</p>
<p>There is only one Poli Sci dept–in L&S. Ed has an educational policy dept which is very different. The PS dept is very good and dynamic.</p>
<p>barrons is being modest. UW-Madison’s Political Science department is excellent (always has been). Moreover, from what I hear, it has been getting even stronger of late. A terrific choice, both academically and location-wise.</p>
