With my stats, should I bother applying to these schools ?

2050 SAT (630V, 740M, 680W)
Bio sat II - 720
Math II sat II - 740
chem - 680 (should I send this one?)
toefl 112 (speaking - 23, is it going to hurt me much?)
Gpa uw - 3.67
w- 3.9
4 Ap’s, very good suburban school
4 aps this year, hopefully 1, maybe 2 B at most

speak 5 languages (teacher mentions that in a rec)
club tennis team 4 years
volunteering and working in Europe 3 summers
some clubs

schools -
Rochester
Boston C
Tufts
Middlebury
Northwestern
Vassar

sadly, your stats aren’t good for Northwestern, and probably, for Middleburry too. I could be wrong though. But if I were you, I will consider them as my reaches. As for the rest of the schools in your list, I cannot comment about it.

My son had a 2090 (790 M, 640 V, 660 W), 4.0 uw and a 790 math sat 2 and 700 Chemistry and was accepted into Northwestern and U of Rochester and he is a white male - no hook. We did consider Northwestern a reach and Rochester a match. I would send the apps into all of them if those are good fits for you. Just make sure you also have 2 safety schools.

Schools will take into account that English is not your first language, so don’t worry too much about the slightly lower scores for V and W. If you are male, the standards for admission to Vassar are lower than for women, so you may have a better shot than the aggregated statistics would suggest. And, with 5 languages and 3 summers in Europe, I’m guessing that you have a lot to contribute by way of unusual personal experiences which, at the private universities and LACs that you are applying to, will be taken into consideration. That said, add a safety or two as suggested by kleibo.

Might look at Holy Cross-very similar to Boston College.

Isn’t it a LAC? My parents only allow me to apply to top 15 or so LACs

^^^

Have you asked your parents what you’re supposed to do if you don’t get into any top 15 schools? Does that mean you won’t get to go to college at all?

I’m applying to some bigger and less selective schools also)

You never get into schools that you don’t apply to.

i totally agree with senior’. it’s not your position to determine whether the schools will like you.
but i would say it’s pretty impressive to speak about five languages and your summers seem interesting.
so if you write GREAT essays, you are in for Rochester Boston C Tufts and vassar

but middlebury and northwestern might be a bit difficult
