<p>Standardized Tests (I’m a terrible test-taker…)

  • ACT: 31 (still waiting for Oct. results)
  • SAT I: 1950 (I know, I know…this is terrible compared to you guys…)
    - Critical Reading: 610
    - Mathematics: 710
    - English: 630
  • SAT II: Math II - est. 700~750, Chemistry - Did so bad…not even gonna report…
  • AP: World History - 3, English Language - 3</p>

  • Father recently laid off, as a result, family income is currently zero.
  • Father is about to accept job in Chicago, so I may move there (in-state benefits?).
  • Recommendations will be excellent.
  • Essays will hopefully be great.</p>

<p>So, despite my horrid standardized test scores (if you hadn’t noticed already, I’ve always been terrible at test-taking), what are my chances getting into these schools?</p>

emphasize a passion for that.
everything seems like a decent shot but yeah unc is extremely hard to get into when your out of state, unless of course your 6’7 and have amazing basketball skills</p>

<p>UCB is very hard to get into out of state.
Northwestern won’t care if you move to Illinois. It is a private school, and if anything, living in-state will hurt you. They prefer geographical diversity.</p>

<p>Good EC’s but your scores and GPA could be stronger for schools like Duke and Berkeley. I’d say your in at Irvine and maybe SD and Grinnell, everything else is a reach.</p>
