With the ACT, do you get penalized for wrong answers?

<p>I heard that there is no penalty like in the SAT (- 1/4) for a wrong answer… so if I run out of time on a section, should I Christmas tree the answer sheet?</p>

<p>Remember that you are penalized for any problem you miss or leave blank, but there is no additional penalty for wrong answers such as those on the SAT.</p>

<p>For example on the M section of the ACT, if you answer only 59 problems correctly, you have been penalized 1 point because you either missed or skipped a problem.</p>
