Women in Science and Engineering LC

Can anyone comment on their experience with this living and learning community? It looks to be a positive experience if you are accepted.

I am interested in this as well. What is your major? I am a Civil Engineering major with an emphasis on Geotechnical Engineering. I’ve heard from a few that some of the men in the program can be pricks to the women…is that true? Because there are so few of us women…

I am 100 percent sure that the men in the “women in science and engineering” program are not pricks. General assumptions for female engineers are that they are less strong students though, as the admission requirements are not as stringent. They are only looked down upon by the engineers who also hate b-school students, liberal arts majors, etc. So basically, the guys who are pricks to the girls in Engineering are just the guys who are pricks in general.
