Women’s Wallets

So it’s dawning on me that many of you don’t carry a traditional wallet - it’s interesting!

In addition to credit cards, license and money I also carry all my health cards in my wallet - where do you all put those? Separate pouch?

Insurance card fits in my little tiny bag

I feel like I have half a dozen health cards! Medicare, supplement, dental, vision, drug - all different cards!

I already have a separate pouch for gift cards, library cards (3), credit union card, AAA card… endless!

I have a small purse. It has a lot of pockets. Things like gift cards, store cards, AAA card, etc…go in one of those pockets.

My drivers license, debit card, credit card and health insurance cards (2) go in my wallet. And I like when my phone fits…but that’s not always the case (no pun intended).

I have my store cards (CVS, Walgreens, Supermarkets) and Library card - on a separate keyring in my bag.

I know this is not a beautiful wallet, but I love it because it is extremely light weight and it fits in my Lulu lemon cross body bag. I got it for travel, but I use it all the time now. I purchased it in the MUJI store in NYC, but it can be ordered online. It fits bills without folding, there are 4 slots for credit cards and ID, and a little mesh zipper pocket for coins. I rarely use cash or physical credit cards any more, but I need it for the few stores that don’t use Apple Pay. I keep gift cards, insurance cards, etc. in the zipper pocket of my cross body bag. It makes it very easy to toss the little wallet into a nicer purse. Polyester Travel Wallet | Travel Accessories | MUJI USA

If you want small, a wallet with fewer slots meant for several stacked cards each is thinner, because then only the cards add thickness, rather than having extra material between the cards.

Not sure why women and men would necessarily have to have different kinds of wallets.

You are all way fancier than me. This is what I am currently using.

I have big clunky wallet but I can’t decide what I want, so I am following this with interest.
However, even without clicking on any of your links, I am getting offers for different wallets on Facebook.

Wow! Then mine probably won’t work for you. The more cards you have, the harder it is to get into the middle section. I don’t really use that section because I put my cash and coins (and chapstick) in a zipper side pocket in my purse. Easier to get to in a store

I thought about people listing how many and what kind of cards they carry. I have quite a few, but not as many as you! I will take out the non important ones if I travel out of the country to lighten things up

I also have a Kate spade wallet. I bought it at TJ MAXX for 39.99 which was expensive for a wallet there but it’s a good size and the leather is really soft and luxurious feeling.

Unfortunately they don’t sell that particular style anymore.

I used to carry a card case which I also like and I don’t always carry a purse so I liked that it has a place for coins. I hardly ever spend cash but it’s nice to have my Aldi quarter available :joy:

I have switched to a coin purse like this, but not nearly as fun! But for same reason - needs to hold my car fob so I can just throw it in my gym bag and run out the door - no need to take my purse with me or fumble for my fob. I have also switched to using a belt bag for errands, and the coin purse fits easily into them.

:exploding_head: you all have me rethinking my whole wallet situation! Appreciate all this input.

Time for me to rethink what I actually need to carry.

Yes TJ used to be a good source for nice wallets - that’s where I got my Patricia Nash wallet. I feel like I haven’t seen many wallets there recently…

I am also clued in to hear how many of you are using Apple Pay. Admittedly I haven’t ever pursued it. :dollar:

I have to admit that I rarely take a wallet anywhere. I have a tiny credit card holder for when I’m driving that just has my license, one credit card, an atm card, and my HSA card. Our insurance card is digital. 99% of the time I just have my phone in my pocket. I use Apple Pay wherever it is accepted.

Unless I go to the gym, I always have my purse with me with the wallet inside. I can’t imagine digital insurance cards. Our practices are well behind the times. Some don’t even have the ability to pay online. We always have to have the physical cards for them to copy every single time we do to the doctor, dentist, eye doctor, etc. I only use Apple pay for the vending machine at work. I use the Walmart and Target apps to pay at those stores.

Looking at my wallet, I have
Slot 1: two credit cards used most often (Visa/AmEx)
slot 2: Sheetz reward card, one of those cards that supposedly blocks skimming
slot 3: two other Visas, Priority Pass for airport lounges
slot 4: Library Card, Kohls, rarely used debit card,
slot 5: car stuff: insurance, AAA, USAA
slot 6: health stuff: health, vision, dental, HSA debit card

License on the back. Inside the pouch I have an emergency $20 (this is rare to have!) and $2000 in whatever $$$ is used in Hungary. Think it’s worth about $5

It’s leftover from our trip in 2015. It just makes me smile when I see it there. And sometimes I pretend I have $2000 real dollars!

My phone is in a folio case by Kate Spade. The inside of the cover has a couple of slots where I keep my Visa card, driver’s license, and my health insurance card. All other cards live in the WOC which I don’t carry that often anymore.

I know I’m not optimally efficient. I had up to 3 cards in my “wallet” that holds my iphone. I also have a black zippered nylon pouch which holds cash and the extra cards—driver’s license, med ins, Medicare and anything else I think I might needs.

This combo works and when I want to minimize, I don’t carry the pouch.

I have a rectangle gold wallet that I got off Amazon. Have had it for 4 or so months now and works fine!
