Women’s Wallets

Sorry to leave the guys out but I don’t need info on what you keep in your pocket! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

What kind of wallet do you carry if you use a wallet? Brands, styles, features, price point?

I have a Patricia Nash wallet (I don’t really know the name of wallet “styles” - it’s kind of long, rectanglish but not overly thick. Leather) This wallet won’t die. I’ve had it for YEARS. Probably 8+. It’s the only one I’ve used.

I’d like to go to something a little smaller. What I still like to have:

  • not too hard to get into - a snap is fine but I don’t want to have to unbuckle or do anything complicated to get into it
  • Coin spot. I don’t want a separate coin pouch - and want a spot even though I don’t do cash a lot anymore.
  • Several credit card slots - no plastic credit card inserts (like a men’s wallet might have)
  • Not bulky
  • My budget - under $50. But fine to share whatever you use/have because it’s still fun to see!
  • I sort of don’t like when I have to fold my bills to fit in a wallet. But I could probably adjust to having to do this if they can’t fit long wise.

Hopefully there is no way for this thread to become political. :grinning:.

MyWalit is my favorite. I have a small one that I found locally for under $50. Love the colors and the slim design.

In case anyone wants to see them.

This is a touchy subject for me. I have not been happy with the last 3 wallets I had. I switched to a smaller purse (bag) and want a smaller wallet to go in it. I used to love the “french purse” style, but now that I hardly use cash I am not sure that is my best option (and nobody makes those anymore). I still would like a place to put a few coins, a few cards, and a few bills. I have really cut down on what I carry - so it doesn’t really need to hold much.

I also feel safer if my credit cards are inside the wallet (not in an outer pocket).

I am excited to see if any new solutions show up here that work for me!

I love my Big Skinny wallet. It does have a small change compartment, but it doesn’t add bulk if you don’t use it. It comes in tons of colors and prints. I have the Evergreen Plaid to match my green purse.

I LOVE my wallet, and it’s much like you describe. I had an identical one also for years - probably like 15, but it just got so ragged looking. I couldn’t find anything I liked, but then I went into Belks and they had an identical one! Bought it on the spot for around $15. I’ll see if I can’t find a link, but it’s been a few years and it was just randomly sitting by itself on the shelf.

Edit: OMG! I found it! It’s $18 now. I put my drivers license in the plastic slot BTW. https://www.belk.com/p/kim-rogers-thinny-thin-tab-card-case/2601255446562.html

I don’t own an actual wallet. I use this:

It holds my drivers license, AAA card, a credit card and and some cash. I just move it from my purse to the pocket of my yoga bag, jacket, etc. as needed.

A bit over the $50 budget

I have something similar now. I have some fancy wallets, some have coin pouch and some have cash section, and I don’t have many of them any more. I just have a credit card holder for license and few cards. I can often get away without having the card holder on me now because I can use my iPhone to pay for everything.
I used to have few pictures in my wallet. The phone has really changed my need for a wallet.

I use a very old worn small wallet that almost certainly came in a boxed set from Kohl’s. No brand name but it holds driver’s license, insurance cards, a few credit cards, cash, and coins. I’ll be sorry when it really wears out because it’s the perfect size. The big wallet that came with it is too big. When I need a new one, I will search the Parent Cafe for this thread!

Ditto. Have a phone case that has a couple of card slots. When I need to carry cash or more than just 2 cards, I use my wallet on a chain aka WOC. It was expensive as heck but it was my workhorse purse/wallet for many years. I recently checked the retail price… yowl, it almost tripled since 2008 when I bought it. :flushed:

One of my friend’s college friends owns or owned this company, and another friend loves them.

Feel free to laugh, but this is what I use. I own a “nice” black Coach wallet, and another nice wallet that has a wrist strap and will hold my phone, but I like this because it’s so easy to throw from my purse to my pickleball bag, or just my pocket if necessary. I think my husband ordered it on Amazon. Also - if anyone has ever received something similar to this getting an Athleta or Lulu Lemon gift certificate, it’s the same size. Holds a couple credit cards, license, AA card, my key fob, and some change/dollars. The price is right…

I have a small Baggallini crossbody “every day” bag which has a zip up wallet as part of the bag. It’s very convenient and lightweight so I end up using it all the time!

I’ve been a fan of Lodis trifold wallets, like the one in the link. I love that if you want you can get them in unusual colors. I get mine on ebay or poshmark.

HOBO Vintage Euro credit card holder

In addition to several card slots there’s a zippered area on the back where I keep coins, hair tie and another slot for some bills. It’s small and I’m on my second one - first one lasted 10-12 yrs. Think I paid $75 ish.

I have gone back to the mywalit medium snap wallet. It’s $149 on Amazon. It’s a bright color so easy to see in my purse, and it holds everything I might need. (Health cards, cc, $ ) I’ve done bigger (with an infrequently used checkbook) and smaller, but like that wherever I go, I am likely to have what I need with me.

I pare back if traveling and having security concerns but 95% of the time, this has me covered.

I use this. Bills fit without folding, coin purse included, 7 slots for cards.

MyWalit is my favorite because it’s small but not a $50 item.

Right now I’m using a Fossil wallet that happens to go with the tote I’m using on a short trip.

I have a small denim Vera Bradley cross body that holds everything including my phone. It’s also small enough to
Drop into a tote

My boss gave me a Kate Spade wallet for Christmas. I like it because I can throw it in a purse or zip my phone in it and just carry it on its own. They come with all different kinds of change compartments, card slots, and lots of colors.

I love my Coach card case:

It was a gift that sat in my drawer for ages, and now is my go to. Carries bank cards and cash, but it’s TINY - need to fold your bills.

Love that I can slip it in my pocket - but one day I’ll probably need something more grown up LOL.

(On sale at Poshmark for $40, originally $150!)
