womens wallet

Oldmom, I really like that wallet-pouch!! Maybe not for everyday, but for many occasions. Wow and a great deal if anyone has that type of phone to fit it! (Samsung Galaxy S3/I9300)

My wallet was hard to find. I might have even gotten it at a thrift shop. It’s the old fashioned wide kind, wiht “snap shut” change section accessible from top. I keep my most-used credit card in the change section. That way I can just reach into the purse and unsnap to get the credit card.

Color - I like light or bright colors. That makes it easier to see in a black-lined purse.

This is my favorite wallet ever. As long as I don’t let the coins pile up, it’s nice and slim, and it holds everything I need on a regular basis. The leather is like butter, and it’s very well made.

For less-frequently used things like insurance cards, membership cards, and gift cards, I got a separate little card holder at Target, cheap. It lives in a zipped compartment of my purse, so those cards are available if needed but they don’t clog up my everyday wallet.

I really like that Lodis wallet!

I use two wallets. One is a huge, checkbook wallet with a big zip compartment (great for receipts, coupons, frequent shopper cards, etc):

My D bought it for me (in Ink Blue). Pros: holds everything, well designed compartments. Cons: heavy, and fabric instead of leather.

The second is a slimmer, medium sized wallet that I use with smaller handbags. Love this wallet:

Sorry- my billfold is much more than a decade old I believe (the reason the stitching holding the cloth insert together is no longer as effective). The only marking is “genuine leather” and I think I bought it on sale at some small shop in Door County (WI) because of the way it opened.

I personally prefer to have a wallet on a chain/string as my purse! Keeps me from schlepping too much stuff and protects my back. My phone can fit in it, but I prefer to have the phone in the pocket of my coat. I recently acquired a WOC and cannot be happier about it. Lots of money, but it was well spent. I should have done it years ago!!!
