<p>I applied for the Elks scholarship in December, and this week I received both a letter and phone call inviting me to the awards dinner and saying that I won $500 at the local level. The scholarship coordinator says that I will be awarded the $500 in the form of a US Saving Bond. However, I will need to provide him with my social security number to claim my prize. </p>
<p>I’m pretty sure that Elks members are honest people, but would you guys be comfortable giving your social security number to claim your prize?</p>
