Wondering if we should not have sent ACT

My son who is a senior has an SAT superscore of 2210. - 750 math, 750 cr and 710 writing; took twice, first sitting was 670 math, 740 cr, 710 writing; second time was 750 math, 750 cr, 680 writing. He only took act once which I now regret, but too late to cry over spilt milk: composite 31; 33 English; 28 math; 33 reading; 31 science; 29 combined English and writing. We sent all scores to his schools, except Pitt, to which only sent SAT. I wish he had taken ACT again to try to bring up math score - he did not prepare for ACT as he was focused on SAT. And he was so overwhelmed with everything else we just decided enough was enough with the testing. He is one of those strong testers but not so great GPA boys - he is not lazy but poor time management and organization has led to assignments missed or late over the years, resulting in GPA lower than should be for somebody of his intelligence. 93.5 weighted, not sure of unweighted but anywhere from 88-91 depending on whether you just consider core academics or cumulative. Five APs, four SUNY level weighted courses, all As as freshman, but downward trend soph and junior, which also has me worried. He wants to major in physics but did poorly on physics SAT 600s, because he didn’t adequately prepare so we didn’t bother sending. Didn’t apply to schools where these are required. So I guess I’m just wondering if we made a mistake by sending ACT at all, or if schools will just consider the stronger SAT result? Schools he applied to : 5 SUNYs - Stony Brook, Geneseo, Oneonta, Binghamton, New Paltz, u. Of Rochester, Pitt, Northeastern, Umass Amherst, RPI. Just so uncertain because of his uneven record.

I probably would’ve sent it. 31 is excellent for those schools and will really only help.

Altogether they are similar scores though the SAT is slightly higher. (http://■■■■■■■.com/k9empwc)
Good Luck.
