Wondering "what if"?

I’ve pretty much made up my mind on where I want to go to college. I spent weeks debating between college A and college B, and I finally picked A.

The only thing is that I keep wondering “in 4 years from now, will I be wondering what would’ve happened if I picked college B?”
To make matters worse, most of my close friends are going to College B, and I know that’s not a good reason to pick a college so I didn’t want to let that influence my decision. But it almost makes me second-guess my choice when I hear all my friends laughing about all the good times they will have together at college B.

But is it normal to think “what if”? I know that if I go to college B, I will have much bigger regrets about not going to college A (since college A has always been my dream school) than the other way around.

Of course it’s normal to wonder. And you’ll have the same thoughts when it comes time to choose between Job Offer A and Job Offer B, buying House A or House B, maybe even choosing names for your kids. All you can do its make an informed decision based on research, logic and your gut feelings. I always resort to the old-school pros and cons list when I have to make a big decision. Seems to work for me. Choose for the right reasons and you’ll do fine.
