Your parents should run the financial aid calculators at College</a> Calculators - savings calculators - college costs, loans to see how much of their savings the colleges/universities will expect them to shell out for your education. There may still be time for them to shelter some of it in retirement funds.</p>
<p>That's what I expected. Thanks a lot for the link. Yes, I am aware of the fact that we do have quite a lot of savings for our income level. My parents are thrifty as heck.</p>
