My class schedule: English, Math, an hour break, Intro to Sociology, and Yoga. The dress requirement in yoga is shorts or sweatpants. I usually wear jeans. So that means I have to change. But when should I, and where should I?

The yoga text book was not in the bookstore. I have to read chapter 1 by tomorrow, and I want to email my teacher to tell her that the book she wanted us to get is not the same one in the bookstore, but the school’s website is saying that my email password is wrong. And you know how sometimes when you log in to a website, a thing pops up and says something like, ‘do you want the computer to remember this password?’ Well, when I first logged on to my email a couple of months ago, it did that, and I pressed yes for my computer to remember the password. But now it’s not letting me log in, and I have no way of contacting my teacher! I don’t know what to do!

I have 4 text books, and I don’t think my bag is strong enough to carry all of my books. I have english and math, then an hour break, then sociology and yoga. Should I bring my books for my first 2 classes in my bag, then during my break, go to my car and switch books(for sociology and yoga)? What other ideas can I do?

@2 just call the school yo.

I’m lazy, so I would just wear the yoga stuff the whole day. But, that’s just me.

I would probably also wear the yoga stuff the whole day. XD But you can always go into the bathroom and change, or if the yoga class is at a gym area they probably have locker rooms or something. I went to CC too and I left my afternoon books out in the car and went at lunch to switch them up, I wouldn’t carry books for the whole day. You might also find that you don’t need to always bring your book to class, a lot of professors will say it’s for at home and that you won’t need it in class. You need to call whatever kind of tech support there is to fix your email. I would check your schools directory to find the professor’s email and just message them from a different email-- I am still using my umich email and my yahoo pretty much interchangeably. My CC didn’t even give us an email address. At any rate, you probably won’t be the only person to not have the chapter read if the bookstore has the wrong book. So just chill, do the best you can to fix it, and wait the rest out. It’ll work out. It’s not like legally blonde, your yoga professor most likely isn’t going to kick you out of class the first day.

You seriously need to chill out. All of that is petty stuff you are freaking out about.

Also, most classes dont require you to bring the books at all unless its a novel or a language class.

Contact the school about that, but you should have another email address anyways. I don’t even use my school address as my main email.

As far as changing, if your yoga class is in a gym (like most) then there should be a locker room, or at least bathroom, nearby for you to change in.

Well, my yoga teacher said that there is a bathroom in the yoga room, but I don’t know if anyone is gonna use it too. I don’t wanna be the one to always use it, ya know?

Don’t worry about it. All that matters is that you get changed. Don’t worry about “being the one that…” Just forget about it. You assume that people care about what you do TEN TIMES more than they really do, and that they will notice every little thing you do. I know you don’t mean to come across that way, but really think about it, it is arrogant to assume that anyone cares if you use the restroom every day. It is. A hard lesson learned for me was to understand that NOBODY CARES what I do. Nobody cares if I use the restroom or if I’m wearing the right shoes, they have their own lives and their own concerns that have NOTHING to do with me. You are not the center of the universe. TRUST ME, your classmates and your professor have more important things to be concerned with than how you get changed for class.

How do you function? It’s yoga. This isn’t that crucial.

It’s time to calm down. Don’t make little things into big deals. You bring your yoga clothes in your backpack and put them on before class in a bathroom or in a locker room. Not a big deal. Or, you can wear just wear the stuff around all day.

If you need to bring your books to class, bring the books for your first 2 classes. Then, go back to your car, drop off those books, and get the books for your next 2 classes.

As far as the book not being available, it’s only yoga–it’s not a big deal. You could try to see if there is a copy set aside in the library. Ask the librarian. Also, if the bookstore isn’t going to have the book for a long time, order it on amazon and you’ll get it in a couple of days.

If you can’t log in to your email account, call the computer tech. dept. of your school and they will walk you through it.

Stay away from the caffeine and get a good night’s sleep :)

Hey, at least you’re taking yoga. It might help you calm down.

Seriously. I have an anxiety condition and I love yoga, everyone should do it. Pilates is fun too but it doesn’t have quite the same relaxation element to it.

There were lockers in the area were I went to cc (health science bldg). You just had to pay a small fee to use a locker. You might look into this. As for leaving books in your car, as you would any valuables, keep them out of sight! In a the trunk, etc. I knew a girl who’s car was broke into first week of class and they took her back pack full of new books. (reciept was there too, LOL). She also had concert tickets in an envelope that they didn’t touch. She was out of luck as her type of aid would not replace the books and she could not afford to buy more.
