<p>I’m not 42 yet but I will be in a few weeks. When you have your one and only child at 22, your nest becomes empty when you are 40. Too soon for me, I really miss my kiddo.</p>
<p>DH went. Turns out a couple of friends where we live now went. Funny thing, all turned out to be fine, responsible folks.</p>

<p>My wife was at Woodstock. She also saw the Beatles in Atlantic City (still has the ticket stub). Shook hands with LBJ at Glassboro State College. That’s why I call her “Gump”.</p>

<p>^ You’re not the only one. Joni Mitchell didn’t go either and regretted it. She supposedly wrote the song “Woodstock” from BF’s account.</p>

Many don’t remember all that much about Woodstock- and not because of the passage of time.</p>
<p>I was only 11 and I don’t want to wish my life away, but man oh man, what a wild ride the 60’s were. If only I had been born 7 or 8 years earlier.</p>

<p>I’ve shaken hands with LBJ, but was far too young to go to Woodstock (almost 13). My parents did take us to see the movie though!</p>

<p>Had been visiting relatives in Forest Hills and was all set to go with a few people from my aunts neighborhood who had become friends through the years. At the last minute one of the kid’s mother wouldn’t let him go so we all decided to throw in the towel. Have regretted it for 42 years!</p>
<p>On another note, 27 years ago today we found out that EAmom was expecting our first child…thought it was cool that we found out on the 15th anniversary…I have always jokingly told him that it was a contributing factor in his very real musical talent. ;)</p>
<p>and Purple Haze was playing today at Coscos and I suppose the anniversary is why. I turned it up real loud.</p>
