Is it true that they have hard ice cream at Runk?

And oh, I just got my lab report back. The funny thing is, I didn’t get penalised for not attaching an abstract, since apparently it wasn’t supposed to be a full report and I must have misheard the lab lecture. But, all our average grades were like 60/75. Not double-spacing -2; improper use of null hypotheses -2; too much elaboration one type of follow-up experiment and too little elaboration on another -2; not using formal statistical analysis to strip outliers -2 (even though they were clearly impossible values for a coin to have); improper labeling of axes -4; not formally making a new explicit hypothesis, rather than a mere recommendation for a new hypothesis -1; use of “naked numbers” in tables -1; etc. etc… Well at least we have two weeks’ of office hours for the next one…though I’ll probably lose 10/(100?) points for not typing my prelab. Yeah, I don’t think I’ll ever type up a report without letting an external authority vet it ever again … it sounds obvious but it was not something that was necessary in my low-quality high school.

db123, aren’t you in Chem 181 too?
