woohoo! Alcohol-wise course.

A lot of people asked about 181 sometime ago … so who here is in Harman’s class too?

And Shoebox, you totally misinterpret me lol … I don’t think I’ve met a single private school student, yet. But it’s like everyone else went to a magnet high school (definition: magnet high schools are high quality public schools) or something, and learnt to type extra-pretty colourful reports with advanced diagrams. (Contrast: 50% of my graduating class will be going to a two-year school, and trust me, community college in Maine is WAY worse than it is in Virginia.)

And don’t get me wrong, I’m not making excuses. Actually I’m more of remarking how it’s a baptism of fire.

But, they never said that you couldn’t use common sense (with a good reason, like, "It is unlikely that certain pennies would have had as much variation as .5 grams less than the average…) to remove outliers. I probably would have known if I knew everyone else went to the office hours to get the TAs to vet their reports, lol. (Still, I’m apparently one point below the average…). I thought I followed the rubric to the T, except for my omission of an abstract which was never penalised. I wouldn’t want the marking to be more lenient. Still, baptism of fire.
