Worcester Academy

Anybody here can help? what is the average SSAT that is competitive to get accept into Worcester Academy please.

Thanks

According to Boarding School Review, they don’t require an SSAT, so they don’t post their averages.

[Worcester Academy Profile | Worcester, Massachusetts (MA)](Worcester Academy (2023 Profile) - Worcester, MA)

However, their average SAT score is 1750. I think that correlates to roughly a 55%-65% on the SSAT. (This is just a guesstimate based on other schools that have an average 1750.) I think if you took the SSAT and got around that percentage or higher, it would work in your favor to submit it.

Just know that Worcester is one of those schools that plays the multiple-multiple reachback game when it comes to showing its college matriculations. The multiple-multiple reachback game is showing all the schools to which graduates matriculated over the last “x” years. Most schools keep to about 3 years or so, but the “multiple-multiple” schools go back many, many years (in the case of Worcester, “The college matriculation list presents the rich array of colleges attended by Academy students from the last 6 graduating classes”) in order to capture at least a the couple or few students that went to Ivies to show that the prep school has the right stuff. The schools know that parents of prospective applicants look to see the brand names on the matriculations lists, and so expanding the pool of years to capture that one student that got into Brown way back in 2009 becomes important.
