Worcester Hall- any info about it?

Can anyone tell me anything about this dorm? Wondering if it is desirable or not desirable? I know the rooms don’t have a/c, but does the study lounge? Thank you!

Location is great! Right across from Student Union (STAMP), near the Stadium, Cole, next to Health Center and is centrally located for classes. All dorms have some sort of lounge for studying or relaxing. Not sure if it has quiet rooms, but you are very near libraries. Bottom line…definitely desirable.

Far better location than the high rise freshmen dorms.

One thing to check out is where closest dining has is…thinking STAMP is where you’d eat and in that case you what more dining dollars and TERP Express $'s. Forget exactly how what STAMP takes…

Oh yeah, bring or buy a window fan. First few weeks are hot and May can be also.

Does have study lounge, computer room, and a PLUS…a kitchen.

Here’s a good link about the dorm:
[Residence Halls - North Hill Community - Worcester Hall](http://www.resnet.umd.edu/residence_halls/north_hill/worcester/)

Thanks gt…would you say the same about all of the North Hill dorms? Any buildings there better than others? I know that none of the ones available have a/c.

I personally find that the north hill dorm rooms are much smaller compared to the denton/ellicot/scholars community dorms. but the location of north hill dorms is obviously much, much better. It depends on what matters to you more.

lol I’m at Worcester literally all of the time and imo it’s a lot of fun there. It’s predominantly a Jewish dorm. It has its own WAM lab, kitchen, laundry facility…actually it has everything you need except for air conditioning. Everyone at Worcester is pretty friendly and people often decide to stay there again when room selection comes around, so I’d say check it out.
