Word Limit

Is it okay to exceed the 25 word limit of the short response even if the statement fits in the box with the 175 character limit?

That depends. Are your answers of such groundbreaking literary merit that their brilliance cannot be contained within the allotted word limit?
If not, cut it down.

screw it, I followed the character limit and was over by at least two words half the time. If they’re going to reject me because of that then i don’t even want to attend.

i would try to find a way to reword it so it fits the word limit. if that isn’t possible, then a few words over the limit probably won’t hurt you.

yeah, i’d try to find a way to get it down to the word limit. i know they only count the characters, but they’d probably appreciate it if you stayed under the word limit, too.

i made sure to not go over the limit… i averaged about 20 words per response, with none of my responses exceeding 25 words

I think some words over 25 are fine. I don’t think they will be counting and a couple more words are hard to discern.

as long as you don’t do it for every one.
