Words in CR PASSAGES- Easy,Medium or Hard?

Hello lads :)

What do you think, based on your experience, in passages which level of difficulty of words is most common?

I’m not 100% sure of what you are asking. But the vocabulary difficulty varies. Get a SAT Vocabulary list from any test prep book and learn the words. You’ll pretty much have all the SAT words you’ll need to know at that point.

Hi,

I once compiled, ranked, and categorized the words from over 60 tests and put them on our website for free. The majority of words I would categorize as “medium.” But it always amazes parents how some words we adults consider “Easy” are not so easy for high school students (not your fault—your vocabulary will continue to grow as you get older). So there are a lot of “easy” words you should master, too. The hard words that appear on the SAT have a lower frequency rate. For example, I’ve seen “penurious” (hard) a couple of times, but I see “aesthetic” (medium) and “undermine” (easy) repeatedly.
