Sparco:

I suggest checking the school’s web site under their Human Resources link and review their job benefits package. There is no blanket answer to this question that covers all schools.

In my experiences in higher education (as a student and now faculty member), schools require a number of years in the position before they give full tuition.

thanks …

I agree…usually the benefit of free tuition kicks in after a certain number of years on the job. AND just a question…but how would you be able to attend college full time AND work full time? There are only so many hours in the week, and you would have to STUDY too!!

At the campus I work at, full-time employees can get free tuition immediately upon employment, and we are a low-tier, run of the mill comprehensive college. Many staff here get their degrees that way.

FAmily members are eligible after a year (that’s how my H got his education certificate.)

As far as working full time and going to school full time, many students do that routinely. It’s a tough life, but it’s the norm for a lot of students, especially non-trad age students.
