BU Central is something new they started a couple years ago. The basement of the GSU had some games and stuff (like the pool tables) that people occasionally used. They’ve since changed things around and now use part of the basement for small events and concerts at night. I haven’t really been down there at all since they changed it, so I can’t tell you much about what goes on, but you’re pretty much going to be working those events. Could be fun. I doubt it would be particularly stressful. Work study jobs tend to be very laid back and they don’t expect much of you.

Oh hey KG,
My friend worked there last semester. So check it out, basically all you do is sit in this cubicle type thing, theres a register, some candy boxes (which you are in charge of), and some sports equipment like pool balls, pool cues, ping pong paddles stuff like that. Then all you do is keep track of the stuff like checking it out to students when they go down there and want to use the stuff, you just collect their BU ID and then give it back when they return it, pretty-laid back. There a big screen TV down there, 3 pool tables, a foozeball table, you know, its just a lounge for student use. Almost every weekend there something going on like an “event”, it can range from a local band performing, or like last year, Danny and Melinda from Mtv’s The Real World had a question and answer session type thing, and you would just help out at events like this. Really though, its a laid back job, everytime I would go down there to visit my friend hed just be watching a sox game on tv.
