Work study

How does work study work?

I got a work study of 2,000. Does this mean I get 2000 + amount I earn from the job or I work and I can earn up to 2,000

It means you have to find a work study job and then you can work at that job and earn up to $2000

So i could earn up to 2000 in work-study by working?

Yes up to $2000 in gross pay

yes…

Thanks a million

Fwiw, I don’t know of any WS jobs that have 100% of your paycheck come from WS funding (I’m sure they exist, but I’ve never heard of one). My work study jobs were 50/50 WS funds and other funding and 70/30 (two different jobs). For that reason, it was possible to earn more than my WS allotment at my jobs. Just something to keep in mind. Obviously ask your employer. Some will also keep you on after you’re out of funding.
