Working at a mexican restaurant or at a library?

Hi everyone! I am entering 10th grade and I have been thinking of getting a job recently; I just don’t know which one  I am eligible for both, and don’t mind doing either so I was wondering which one would look better for college? I have more experience at the library, but I have heard working hands on at a restaurant with other people would look better and I would like to do either of them. since it doesn’t matter which one I do, I would just like to do the one that would look better for college  Thanks!

It depends on your level of involvement. If you can have a large impact on the library (change how it functions etc.), then I would go with the library.

In my opinion, working at a restaurant would be slightly better, but in the end, do whatever you like.

Thanks for your input! But just out of curiosity, why would you think working at a restaurant would be better?

I like the library myself. Puts you in a bit more intellectual light, which is after all what college is about. You might make more $ at a restaurant, though, which you may need for college.

The food service job would likely help you get future stop-gap jobs easily.

That, and it will help keep motivation high for getting through class
