Working in Europe

I’ve always dreamed of living in northern Europe for while (Sweden to be specific), and after doing some research it became apparent that Sweden does have some decent Political Science programs (MA).

I’m specifically interested in the Uppsala University. while reading through their website, I learned some bad news; they claim that finding a job in Sweden is close to impossible for international students.

Is this true? Does anyone have experience with working in Sweden?

Also, after graduation, can I work in Sweden for a period before returning?

Edit: I was referring to working while studying.

Often European countries allow students to work while students, but I don’t know specifically about Sweden in that regard.

Is there a way for you to obtain dual citizenship with an EU country? For example, my grandparents were born in Italy and never renounced their citizenship. Hence, I am eligible for dual US/Italian citizenship. This opens doors for me if I ever want to work in Europe. Several countries have this dual citizenship possibility - you have to have a grandparent or parent born in the European country that has never renounced their citizenship (the US citizenship oath used to make you renounce foreign citizenship, so that’s something to watch out for).

Sweden does allow students to work while attending school. The University’s website asserts that finding a job would be difficult.

I have no way of obtaining a European citizenship. I’m already a dual citizen (U.S. and Jordan). I’m curious if anyone has experience with the job situation in Northern Europe for international students.
