Works Cited page on Honors essay?

I have an idea for what I’m going to write, but it involves doing some research and therefore a Works Cited page. Would that be really out of place, or would it not matter? I’ve just never heard of anyone having a works cited page in an admissions essay.

I haven’t heard of this either. It could look really pretentious or somewhat impressive depending on who’s reading it. It could also look very original (in a good way) and set you apart. Bump for other opinions.

wondering the same thing about a researched essay for another college. Using plenty of quotes etc…

bump
