WorkStudy at Duke

What is workstudy like at Duke? I have spoken to students at other schools who are in a workstudy program and in some cases I am impressed at the quality of “networking” that the workstudy program facilitates. How does Duke stack up in this regard?

I’m a potential Earth Science major, so I got a work-study job as a lab assistant in the Nicholas School. I’m not sure about “networking,” but they helped me get a Stanback Internship (in Env. Science) this summer. Work-study is sooooo easy at Duke because employers bend over backwards to hire them (it saves them money). Many departments post available jobs; here’s some [biology jobs](http://www.biology.duke.edu/undergrad/research/jobs.html). It’s really easy to find a job that interests you. The art museum hires art history buffs, the Medical Center is great for premeds, the Nicholas School is good for science majors, etc.
