World Business or General Business?

I would like to major in business, but I was wondering about the viability of World Business as a major. It is linked in here ( [Undergraduate Programs - The University of Alabama](<a href=“Page Not Found | The University of Alabama”>Page Not Found | The University of Alabama) ) under “world business.”

Majors

I see “World Business” in the list, but I’m not finding it listed in Culverhouse B-school as a major. Where will I find it?

I think it may be a concentration that is within a few majors, because it says this: CONCENTRATION in economics, finance, management, and marketing majors.

So, do you have to choose economics, finance, management, or marketing as a major, and then do the “world” concentration???

Is it… International Business?

Gaines0,
UA does not have a world business or international business major, otherwise I’d probably be one. It is a concentration in finance, economics, management, and marketing meaning that it would satisfy some requirements for your major, but it is not your major. If you are majoring in something outside the college of business, including econ through the College of Arts and Sciences (econ is also a major in the business school), then you can minor in international business. For finance and econ majors, the global business concentration currently requires 2 economics courses, 1 international business course. 3 years of any foreign language(s) and a study abroad. Conveniently, this also satisfies many requirements for the International Honors Program (IHP).

*I’m a finance/econ major with an international concentration in both. If you have any more questions about the business school or UA in general, just ask. We have quite a few current students and parents who post on CC.
