<p>Ok, so I have a question. I don’t have many extracurriculars, I have three currently. one is the Tv/Cable club, the other is an anime/manga/comic book club that was started this year (I didn’t want to be in it, but this guy i’m kinda friends with asked me to sign the petition to start it, and I didn’t want to turn him down.) But those are beside the point. </p>
<p>There’s this organization called World Challenge, and they came to my school and started a small team of students, they’re going to a certain country overseas, they’re going the summer I will (Hopefully) be attending college but it’s only for a month. Problem is, I don’t have enough money to go and my parents are strongly discouraging me to go as it’s in north africa and they’re just uneasy about me being there. I’m fine with not going, but the problem is the team. I’ve taken part in fundraising and meetings, so my main concern is this:</p>
<p>Does the team still count as an extracurricular if I won’t go? Does it even count as an extracurricular to begin with? Or if I’m spending my time and not going, will it count as volunteer work? </p>
<p>Also, since I signed the peition to create the comic book club, I count as a co-founder?</p>
