How many of you are going to watch the World Cup? Which team are you cheering for?

btw, i woke up at 4 a.m. to cath S.Korea Vs. Bosnia International Friendly.
but my channels won’t let me see them, so i just went back to sleep, angry.

then i woke up today to check the online news and BAM!

I’ll definitely watch. I heard the World Cup is the largest sporting event in the world. I would’ve thought that the Olympics were, but I guess not. I’ve always been a soccer fan.

I’ll be rooting for the US…even though they lost to Morroco the other night. That was sad.

I am definitely going to watch the World Cup. This year I am rooting for Ghana since the finally made into the Cup this year. The US-Ghana match on June 22 should be interesting

2006 - Qualified - South Korea is in Group G along with France, Switzerland, and Togo.

until 2002 korea never got across the first round. great leap, don’t you think???

of course KOREA!!! though i must admit I like watching turkey esp Dabala (damn he’s good and his hairstyle looked really coool not to mention his role as a great medfielder) and Hakan Shcruw (team captain in 2002). None of these spellings are accurate. I just wrote down the pronunciations. Also Ronaldo, Ribaldo, Ronaldingho, Carlos, Capu and basically everyone on the Brazil team is amazing.

but since this year’s world cup isnt home court, i don’t think they’ll do that well…the team needs to get on over to germany to start practicing…

hmm i remember in 2002 England getting a penalty kick against Argentina for sth that wasn’t a foul. With that goal England beat Argentina 1-0.
Another instance, France beat Italy in penalty kicks after overtime in 1998. They sure had favorable calls.
In the (2002) Germany vs. US game, there was a German player who committed “handling” near the goal zone. That should have been a penalty kick for the US tying the game to 1-1. INstead Germany 1-0 win.
Then let’s see “god’s hand” by Maradona in 1982 World Cup Championship.
My point? Stop saying that the foul calls were why Korea got 4th place. Then u should say France, Germany, Argentina, England are all bad. But they aren’t
