World cup 2014

Aren’t ALL teams overrated at this time? Crazy how this WC has been entertaining with lots of goals but without a team playing consistently well. Chile might have played the most attractive soccer, but they lost. Except for a couple of teams, the defenses have looked overwhelmingly febrile. Many have been downright as awful as Spain’s.

Again and again, the games are decided in the last 10 to 20 minutes. Holland France were awful in the first 45 minutes. And so was Germany. In the end, the team that plays a complete game and uppers its defense will win.

Well, Germany needs to quit messing around and take care of business or they could find themselves completely embarrassed.

Messing up or showing their massive cracks in the back four? They look slow and clumsy. Not to mention nervous.

But we enter in the last ten minutes. And that means … goals are coming.

Wow, thought Germany was about to be celebrating, but no…

HOW does Muller not get that shot in?!

Sooooo exciting.

Germany. Get, it. Together.

Germany’s keeper will soon have to dribble up the field and take a shot…

It’s not easy to beat a weaker team.

Interesting 30 minutes coming up …

As I said, I am rooting for Algeria, but Germany had so many chances in the closing minutes that I can’t believe they couldn’t convert.

You couldn’t have done that 90 seconds ago?

^^^^^LOL.

That’s a million dollar question. Why soccer and football players don’t play harder in the early minutes of the game?

One would think that China and India would have soccer teams in the World Cup given that they each have over a billion people. I don’t know about the Indians but I would suspect the Chinese are such ego maniacs that they could not play and risk losing, but of course that is speculation.

Asian people don’t have the physical advantage. Korea can play the taekwondo and the Japan can play the harakiri games but they did not advance.

Indians don’t care about soccer. They’re wild for cricket.

Do you want the players to sprint all the time?

Michael Bradley has run 23+ miles so far this tournament.

There were more chances at the end of Germany/Algeria because the players were exhausted. Algeria did a great job of packing the defensive zone, particularly in front and into the center midfield. Germany had no room to operate and defenders were always in the way of passes into the box.

Wow, just…wow.

Investigation re: game fixing. I sure hope it turns out to be false.
