I remember that Teemu Selanne whiff too. My son and I were camping, and I was listening on the radio. Teemu Selanne had always hurt the Sharks, and there he was doing it again.
And yet so far in the playoffs every team that has swept their opponent has been taken down in the next round. The Bruins might just have too much time off to stay sharp.

And the Blues are hoisting the Cup.
Good for them. I thought the bruins completely dominated huge chunks of the game and had no goals to show for it. I knew the blues would get a fluky goal. They got two. One on the bouncing puck redirect and then the mistimed shift by Marchand with 8 seconds left. I believe he thought the period was over with the puck in the corner.
4 shots total in the 1st period and two goals. Unheard of. It seemed like a period long power play.
Hats off to that goalie. Wow what a performance for a 23 year old rookie.
And why Jordan Binnington didn’t get the Conn Smythe Trophy is a mystery.

I just went on YouTube to watch the last 2 minutes of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup playoffs back in 2013. Just to relive the good BlackHawk memories of beating Boston.

So happy that the Blues won. They have been such a great story this season. In last place on January 1st and now Stanley Cup champs.
One of the most important factors last night was that the Blues eliminated the stupid penalties they’ve taken in the previous games, and as such, killed the Bruins power play opportunities.
Binnington played well last night but his numbers were still below Rask’s and it takes a consistent, super performance for a goalie to win the MVP, reminiscent of Ken Dryden… O’Reilly broke a franchise record for points in the playoffs and ended up being tied as the top playoff scorer. He was the first since Gretzky to score in four straight games in the finals.

The right team won.
Bostonians will just have to settle for being World Series and Super Bowl Champions this year. SIGH!
Oh and look forward for the Super Bowl win next February.
Our ship was pulling into port this morning and I woke up at 4:30 am. Checking Facebook I saw all of my St. Louis friends erupt in joy!!! What a wonderful victory! I can’t stop smiling.
So happy for the Blues and their fans.

Dear (some) Boston fans: when you assume championships before seasons even start, you sound like Yankee fans. I mean, if you’re okay with that, that’s fine! 
There’s a real Boston sports fan. Forgot about the local professional soccer teams, the New England Revolution and the Boston Breakers.
