I’m just wondering how brown looks at writing. Do they take it as seriously as the critical reading and math portions, or do is it still experimental?

and if I had one typo (ever instead of every), do they look especially harsh upon it or do they skip the little blip?

If they do notice it, they aren’t going to look harsh upon it at all. We’re human beings, we make mistakes, even people who go to Brown. They understand that people revise and edit their essays so much that they accidentily glaze over a few mistakes. Your typo isn’t that noticable. It’s not like you said, “And this is why I can’t wait to go to Harvard” or mistype coach and spell it as couch. That could be confusing. “I really look up to my couch because he has helped me through many hard times…” That would suck…
