I am an incomming UCSD admitted student and i found THREE discrepencies in my self reported grades and my transcript. I know this is such a careless mistake and I am very worried.
These grades are from 9/10th grade and i reported 1 lower than my real grade and 2 higher
Details:
I am an international student who did IGCSE and A-Levels
My mistakes are of my term grades not my official test results (my school did trimesters)
Additional maths reported 2.7 instead of 3.3 (10th Grade)
Economics reported 4.0 instead of 3.7 (9th Grade)
Thai language reported 3.7 instead of 3.3 (10th Grade)
(My school does number grading in transcripts) (these are all one grade above or below what is correct)
I passed all my IGCSE for these subjects (and for every other subject too)
My school has sent my final transcript and exam results to the university but they have not been reviewed yet and I have sent an inquiry about this through the applicant portal
Has anyone been in a similar situation and is this a big issue? I am very worried about being rescinded @Gumbymom or anyone else have advice?
Sorry, but I am not familiar with IGCSE grading system so I cannot comment other than UCSD will not act until they see your official transcripts.
I am tagging @skieurope and hopefully they can help.

I see. Are there similar cases where people misreported grades (higher and lower) and how do these turn out? I am just worried and wanted to know how big of a mistake this is. Im sorry if im being repetitive
I have seen student’s rescinded for reporting incorrect grades but it is not automatic and admissions makes decisions on a case by case basis. You have reported the errors and submitted your transcripts so unfortunately it is in UCSD admissions hands now so all you can do is wait for their response.
Thank you for you responses hopefully my mistakes were minor enough to be fixed. I think it is good that i accidentally made one lower since it shows that i wasnt inflating on purpose but that is besides the point. I am trying to keep some hope but also be realistic
I will wait for the universities response
You should have been assigned an admissions counselor when you were applying and when you were accepted.
The admissions counselors at UCSD usually focus on the high school region where you are from and try to become familiar with your region.
My advice to you would be to contact that admissions counselor. They may not know the rough grade calculations, for your grade submissions, but they can probably refer you to someone on campus.

Thank you for the advice but I dont think UCSD discloses specific regional admissions counsellors. I have tried to look for someone to contact and it all says to use the contact us tab in the applicant portal or to call the admissions office which I have done.
Sample from website:
BRITISH & SINGAPORE
You must complete at least 5 IGCSE/GCSE/GCE O Levels and at least 3 GCE A Levels to be considered for admission. If you receive “A”, “B” or “C” grades on your GCE A level examinations, UC San Diego may consider granting you transfer credit toward your bachelor’s degree. The exact credit amount will be determined after you have been formally admitted and provide your official certificate.
yes i have met those requirements and all of those were reported correctly, (I already have gotten my final A-Level) results)
i dont see any admissions officers to contact on that page though.
