Although it would be very difficult to be rescinded, perhaps it would be in your best interests, in this case. You seem to have a lot of growing up to do! Sure, you are smart; you’ve proven that you can do it. But your level of maturity may not be up to these high-powered schools. Just because you’ve been admitted and even if you are not rescinded, you need to think hard and long about taking responsibility for your actions and figuring out ways to be less self-destructive. College is hard. Not just because the courses are hard, which they may or may not be, but because socially you have to completely be self-reliant. There will be very few adults in your immediate life any more, and the rules have to be enforced from within yourself. In my opinion, and I truly do not mean to sound mean, you are not ready for college, and being rescinded could be a blessing in disguise.

“I was suspended for a week for inappropriate usage of a substance (I took the substance from someone else not realizing that the school prohibited taking substances from others)”

If the substance is something like an aspirin, you’ll probably not be rescinded. If it’s something like Ritalin or marijuana, you probably will be rescinded.

im interested in this substance. what exactly was it?

if you explain to the schools why you dropped the classes (and not just because you wanted to be lazy) then i am sure that would be ok.

i dont know about the grades till i know about the severity of the substance…
