My grades consist of B’s and C’s now.

I dropped AP Biology, a high-level math class, and a high-level science class…but I for the math and science classes, I had to add REQUIRED courses, and since the times conflicted, I was forced to drop those classes…

I was suspended for a week for inappropriate usage of a substance (I took the substance from someone else not realizing that the school prohibited taking substances from others)

gaw…i’m screwed :-/

Well what college are you worred about recieving a Rescension from? It doesn’t look to good right now, I’m not going to lie, but keep on working to pull up your grades (possible to change thos B’s into even low A’s? and pull up the C’s to at least low B’s?) and explain the details of your suspension?

You’re not screwed until the college says your screwed, so do what you can now to make up for it.

schools I’m worried about are good ones: MIT, carnegie, yale…

All I can say is good luck, but honestly what were you thinking???

and I am sure you could have worked around your schedule… most schools can accomidate that stufff… and substance abuse? why the heck would you wreck your chances in college because of it…

responsability…

Then, you’ve got your work cut out for you, thats for sure. But really, good luck!

gosh darn it (but i didn’t say it that nicely in my mind)

Yes, you could be rescinded.

Don’t worry. D knows somebody that got into Stanford and Harvard with a C in Senior year.

I think you would be fine with ONE of those problems… but having horrible grades, dropping high level classes, AND being caught with illegal substances (btw, how could you NOT realize it was illegal. duh?), you’re screwed. Why oh why would you have screwed up your great work in high school? It’s not that hard…

Did you apply to back up schools? If so I would put a deposit down on that instead… but that’s just me.

…if I had significant reasons for each problem, would that temper my situation?

I think you should call your schools and let them know you dropped those classes because of schedule conflicts. And definitely work your ASS off to bring those C’s and B’s up because it’s not looking good for you right now.

speaking of CMU, do you think i would be in trouble too?
projected final grades:
gym A+
Band A+
AP english A
AP Spanish A+
AP Calc B+
AP Bio C/C+

^ oh i forgot
MACRO and MICRO, probably B+

Do you guys realize that schools will only maybe rescind you if you are FAILING a couple classes?

Don’t worry about C’s

He still has the ‘other’ issue, which is the substance. Good luck man.

I wish you luck in clearing your name and you don’t get rescinded. Although, I daresay you brought it on yourself.

I remember my mother constantly reminding me that it’s not over until the fat lady sings. Told me to keep my nose clean until the summer time (and even then). I would simply regret for the rest of my life if I got accepted to a prestigious university and then could not go for a minor transgression.
