Worst admissions idea yet?

<p>Here is a link to an article about Tufts latest contribution to the craziness that has become the college admission process: submission of youtube videos. It’s one thing to submit audition tapes for the performance arts, but this policy creates new pathways to angst and abuse. </p>

<p>It’s one of eight choices for the OPTIONAL essay. I thought it was a good idea. My son took one of the other options (Imagine US history if we’d lost the battle of Yorktown). I like colleges that give students a chance to show themselves besides the usual tired Common Application choices.</p>
