Designer sneakers may have peaked:
I for one, am happy for sneakers to be fashionable. I wonât wear heels.
Iâll be happy when the designer sneaker fad phase is over. Most are stupid looking, imo.
Ditto, @emilybee. There is a vast middle ground between a sneaker and a stiletto pump.
IMO, most designer sneakers look over the top, and cost absurd amounts. If one wants to wear them for fashion, Iâd just wear Converse sneakers.
Flats of any kind make sense to me. I just wear shoes that are comfortable. That said, I find clunky shoes can make an otherwise lovely outfit look âoff.â Weâve all been brainwashed!
My Saks email this morning featured the clunky sneakers. The tag line was âget your kicks in the sole that stole the runway.â ErmmâŠno thanks.
I have a feeling that Moonboots and chunky sneakers are among those fads of the past that will not make a meaningful comeback.
^^. Thatâs what my daughter used to say about high rise âmomâ jeansâŠand yetâŠaside from the acid wash*âŠhere we are.
- I guess all those jeans with more rips and holes than actual material could be the result of an overly enthusiastic application of the acid wash :)
I recently heard that the big shoulder look is coming back - so it seems like everything in fashion returns!
Converse has âdesign your ownâ sneakers which look pretty fun.
The keyword is âmeaningful.â Bellbottoms tried to make a comeback⊠it was a flash in a pan.
THANK YOU. And, thank you, Fendi, for a good hearty laugh this morning.
Thanks for the much needed laugh, @Gourmetmom !! OMG. The view from the back is especially priceless.
Weird. Very weird.
Doesnât everyone want to look like the Michelin Man!
Since I clicked on the last Saks link, they now think Iâm looking to buy a puffer.
This one came in my morning Saks email.
I donât think so.
