Who actually wears these things? Obviously I know I am not gonna see some mom at the Wegmans in her denim boots, but do people in NYC wear these regularly or only if they are going to an event where they need to be photographed looking “in style.”

Oh I can believe that! A classmate from my grad program told me this story. She is an older mom living in a town that has a lot of very young and very well off families. When her kid got invited to a classmate’s
birthday party, she was shocked to see that the shoes some of these 25-plus moms wore were so butt ugly. She secretly took some photos and did a reverse image search. Gucci and Prada and Givenchy oh my! Shoes over $1k!
