I never see people wearing these things (of course my life is limited to the YMCA and the grocery store) but do any of you who live a more Cosmopolitan life EVER see anything like this in the wild?

I suspect sone if these outfits may be worn at Honolulu Marathon because there are an amazing array of outfits and people with lots of $$$ (sometimes with very different fashion sense), plus weather is warm enough to wear pretty much whatever.

Saw a woman wearing the ugliest shirt with a bold designer logo at a winery restaurant today. Plus butt ugly platform Nike sneakers. Not sure is that was a knockoff Gucci or not, but it looked like something from this thread! Yes, when folks go wine tasting they tend to dress up.

Or, we crafty CCers could just replace the flowers on these ($23.36) with some shoe clips ($15.99) and save ourselves $1,155.65 to go toward, say, a tuition bill or a crazy spree at the dollar store.

From my FB feed:
In a bizarre and humorous incident at New York Fashion Week, an unidentified man confidently strode down the runway dressed in a clear plastic garbage bag, a shower cap, and colorful shorts.

His audacious performance was so convincing amidst the often-eccentric world of high fashion that most onlookers, including industry veterans, initially perceived him as a planned part of the designer’s avant-garde collection.

The illusion was broken only when security personnel, realizing he was an imposter who had brazenly crashed the event, intercepted him mid-strut and escorted him off the catwalk, creating a viral moment that perfectly satirized the fine line between haute couture and performance art.

I wonder how many advance orders were placed before the rapscallion was removed.

I can’t post the photos because they’ll violate the TOS, but for truly ugly and expensive search for Jean-Paul Gaultier spring 2026.

Oh my!

Uninspired and disgusting at the same time. That took some work to be so bad.

To judge from the looks on every one of those model’s faces, they agree.

I feel like this designer(s) does not really like people that much…?

It’s like he wanted to upend social norms while simultaneously making the models feel uncomfortable and pained. While disruptive can be part of fashion, much of this seems like an easy ‘let’s shock people with quasi-nudity’ (doesn’t really seem all that creative).

More of the same old stuff, just to a more extreme degree…
