You may recall I was the one a while back who posted fringe-y shoes that looked like horse hooves (jym recently reposted those).

So, now these came up in my FB newsfeed:

I don’t know how anyone could walk in that second pair you posted.

For some reason, lots of this stuff comes up as ads in my FB feed. Now, comes one that isn’t necessarily “ugly” but is so overpriced as to be insane.

This pair of metal hair clips by Balenciaga cost $350, when you can get a pack of 20 of these (but they dont’ say Balenciaga!) for $5 at the drugstore.

BG and the sister companies are very aggressive “cookie monsters” and keep very good track of what one’s browsing. Keeping fingers crossed I don’t get any emails with the hooves shoes screaming, “Quick, only a few left!”

I like that kind of hair clip… EXCEPT my fine hair gets caught in the little round grommets. Interestingly it appears that balenciaga version has same flaw as the ones from dollar store (and Ulta)

What a fashion faux pas. Those pants call for these:

Yeah, besides those outrageous boots, the pants they showed with them were quite something.

@soozievt - did you get the pop up for 15% off?

Nope! But that’s some bargain!

For YEARS I wanted a Judith Lieber bag. Not a novelty one. Just one of the solid silver crystal ones in a classic shape. I was too poor to buy one then, and I’m too pragmatic to buy one now.

I have a friend who was gifted a novelty one by her husband, probably 30 years ago. It’s a globe.

Edit: I’d like one like this:

@Hoggirl That’s less than half the price of the pizza one!

That’s a beautiful bag. Novelty ones… not sure what to make of them lol. I am not fashion forward enough to be seen in public with a pizza bag!

The last time I was in TJ Maxx, I saw a number of beaded bags - at much lower prices .

I was tempted to get one, but decided the beads wouldn’t last long.

edit to add I don’t think access is actually denied.

I was shopping at a very high end outdoor mall once (really sight seeing because there was zero I could afford) and went into a purse shop with collectible bags similar to these (but even higher priced). A couple came in dripping money with two little kids who they just turned loose and paid no attention to them. The manager had such panic written on his face! I followed the kids and told them “no, look only–can’t touch” and ushered them around keeping their fingers off the merchandise.

Afterwards the very grateful manager asked me if I wanted to see the purses and of course that was a big YES! He gave me a real tour of the store. The Radio purse (all sparkles!) actually played tunes and had volume control. The World purse opened to reveal another globe inside. I can’t remember them all but each one had hidden secrets that you wouldn’t know unless shown to you. Real works of art!

Wow, pretty cool. Wonder what the pizza purse could be hiding in it?
