Worst part about AP Classes

<p>I took AP calc AB last year and the worst part (which wasn’t bad at all) was reviewing for the AP exam. The material was fairly easy and my teacher didn’t give us a lot of homework either. Worst part about AP euro is the amount of homework and reading.</p>

<p>So I wanna know, what did you think the worst part about AP classes were…</p>

<p>Reviewing is always the worst. partly because it’s so much time, and also because it’s frustrating to realize how much you forgot and have to study to relearn it.</p>

<p>Realizing on May 11th that your teacher taught you absolutely nothing relating to world history and having to read an entire review book and do four practice tests just to get a 3.</p>

<p>Waiting for your scores.</p>

<p>The homework. I think a lot of the homework is unnecessary in that it doesn’t really help you get a higher score nearly enough to justify the amount of time and effort required. But, I suppose that’s preparation for college, and anyway, nobody likes homework.</p>

<p>They have to give homework because people who aren’t intelligent enough/self motivated to do well would fail and get a bad grade on the AP exam.</p>

<p>Summer work -.- I’m afraid to write my essays for Literature and US Government because I do not know what type of writing style the teachers like and I know I’ll probably end up with B’s for my first few grades of the class…</p>

<p>Similarly to wynter, I hated the feeling of being behind on the curriculum. I took Euro and, while the AP only tests after c.1350, we started with classical antiquity. Needless to say, spring break was torture because everyone had to cram :(</p>

<p>Getting a score lower than you thought is certainly one of the worst things ever, especially if you put in many hours of dedication.</p>

<p>Getting a teacher who sucks at teaching the subject because he’s just a gym coach and thus, failing the AP exam</p>

<p>Not being scheduled enough time to cover everything the Ap entails. Ap Physics B was my first Ap experience, and boy was it frustrating. We had less time in class than other Ap’s and even after fitting in extra class time in the morning, we still had to cram. I learned my lesson now: self study while taking the class.</p>

AP Bio: Bad teacher. Basically taught myself everything. Now I don’t remember anything… :(</p>
