Worth applying common apps?

I just got my december SAT score and now I am hopeless. I’ve been thinking of applying to carnegie mellon, emory, johns hopkins, northwestern, duke, and university of chicago and also USC. I was planning on breaking a 2000 this month, but now that I basically got the same SAT score I got my junior year (1770, 1820 superscored) I don’t even think I even have chances at these schools anymore. Truthfully, do any of you guys think I even have a chance with these stats?

Weak ECs, weak scores, mediocre grades, and Asian. You can apply to two or three of these, but they’re all high reaches. Find some matches and safeties.

Apply to all of them, but they’re all high reaches. However, you might get into one or two of them. Realize that these are hard schools to get into for ANYONE, so definitely find a safety or two. There are really good schools to go to that are still easy to get into. For example, my safety is Alabama, a top 100 school, but a high acceptance rate. Actually, now that I’m in with a full ride, it’s starting to appeal to me. Don’t limit yourself to only “prestigious” schools. Find one that matches your personality.

Chance me back?
