Worth applying?

My school limits the number of applications to 6, so I have to pick schools wisely. I have decided to apply to schools where I have a chance because I don’t want to end up being rejected from all schools. Do I have a decent enough shot to warrant applying?

International Applicant.

Yes, definitely apply. Is Emory one of your top choices? If so, I would advise applying Early Decision… you have a very good shot in ED. Even in Regular Decision, your stats make you competitive! Emory is absolutely very friendly towards internationals… It is about 13% international which is larger than most other top universities. I am an international btw… and I was an IB applicant as well. Plus, Emory has a large asian population so it would be easy to fit in if you’re worried about that. Good luck!

Emory wasn’t one of my top choices to be honest. As of now they stand to be: Wharton, Princeton, UChicago, Ross (Umich) then possibly Emory.

Hmm, well I’m guessing you’re interested in business… Goizueta is ranked one of the best in the nation btw. Check out the BusinessWeek rankings… well, you should show some interest in Emory… they don’t like students using it as a major back up to other schools… demonstrating interest is an important factor in admissions.

Well, I’m not using it as back up so to speak. All the schools, I’m applying too have business schools or economics departments that interest me. After my first 4 schools, I’m really not sure which school is better for me to apply to so I’m seeing how my chances are at them all. The first 4 schools are pretty competitive so there is a chance I’ll be rejected from them all.
