So I got accepted to Stanford’s CSSSI Program lately, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the money… It’s around $8000 for a residential student for 2 weeks. I’m applying to other programs, but I’m not sure about my acceptance and they also collide with the CSSSI date. SO MY ULTIMATE QUESTION IS: IS THIS PROGRAM WORTH IT?
Hey,
I attended last summer when the program was 3 weeks and had a cost of $10,000. Overall, this is extremely pricey, but I am very glad that I went. I am not sure how the curriculum would be structured in a two-week program, but based on my 3 weeks there I can tell you that it will be full of fun and great experiences.
The others you meet are incredible and the people in charge of the program are some of the nicest I have ever met. I would recommend it only if you have a passion for cardiology. So, if you are deciding whether or not to go, make sure that money is going towards something you are actually passionate about. Not just because you want to go into medicine.
